Dawn Buchanan

At Digital River, Dawn Buchanan is responsible for global sourcing and procurement.  She specializes in transforming decentralized procurement activities into a global, center-led strategic sourcing organization.  Prior to joining Digital River, Buchanan was the Global Sourcing leader for Corporate Materials and Services for Cargill where she helped to transform a globally decentralized procurement group into a World Class center-led sourcing function.   She also spent 15 years in Big Five consulting with a focus in supply chain and strategic sourcing including outsourcing of the procurement function.  Buchanan has worked in a variety of industries including Consumer Goods, Retail, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Energy.  Her experience includes both sourcing of direct and indirect categories.
